Lenders Promise Foreclosure Help to Mayors

At the U.S. Conference of Mayors held in Detroit on Tuesday, 11/27, lenders promised mayors to donate $100 for every property in foreclosure to fund credit counseling hotlines. Additionally, the Mortgage Bankers Association committed to assemble a database to help untangle who owns foreclosed properties, according to an article in the Detroit Free Press.
