Market Activity Picks Up In 2008

Housing activity increasingWhile making appointments to show home and condos lately, I been pleasantly surprised to hear that many are under contract (or 'pending'), which affirms the feeling I've had that activity has definitely increased with the new year. Turns out, the trend started at the end of last year when area sales were up in Q4'07 over Q4'06.

According to Realcomp's RealSolutions February newsletter, Residential and Condominium sales across the entire MLS area were up slightly during the last quarter of 2007 as compared to the same period in 2006. Additionally Residential and Condominium sales for Wayne County increased overall by nearly 1% in 2007, as compared to 2006.

With the New Year, I've definitely noticed increased activity on our listings...now let's hope that translates to offers!
